Manpower Group Sustainability Program Manager in Dayton, Ohio
Develop, lead, implement, monitor and execute the company's waste management program at a customer location. Serve as liaison between Stericycle, its customer, 3rd party logistics providers and other onsite waste vendors. Serve as technical and EHS expert for client:
*As technical expert within the organization, provide consultation on best known practices for appropriate disposition of all types of waste.
*Develop and/or modify scrap/waste management programs at customer location via approved processes such as customer change control and internal Stericycle approval processes Cost and revenue:
*Justify program and program improvements as necessary via demonstration of actual or potential costs and revenues. Review cost and revenue information with site leads as necessary
*Cut customer cost by driving recycling improvements and minimizing trash waste in alignment with customer goals. Drive revenue possibilities for Stericycle via development and implementation of solutions and timely services. Develop/Plan new programs and execute projects in a team environment to meet goals and objectives of client, while working with 3rd parties that do not report into you. Plan scrap/waste shipments with customer, customer 3rd party service providers (if applicable), and vendors to ensure shipments are completed in a compliant manner (e.g. all items marked and labeled properly, paperwork meets regulatory requirements, proper DOT transporters are utilized, etc…). Ensure all local, State, and Federal requirements are adhered to Resolve site-level vendor and customer issues that may arise. Address issues in a professional manner with appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions. Work with site 3rd parties and customer leads as necessary. Coach customer and/or 3rd party organizations on Stericycle systems and then serve as liaison between parties to ensure ultimate collaboration and co-implementation of site programs Monitor scrap and waste management compliance status, conducting inspections, reporting findings to site personnel and assisting with the development of corrective actions. Coordinate and assist with the initial waste evaluation of unidentified or known products to ensure the proper storage and management of materials. Assist in customer and/or government audits related to waste management.
*Education equivalent to a Bachelors Degree, preferably in environmental science or the equivalent in related work experience.
*Five or more years of experience, preferably in the waste management industry.
*May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements. Familiarity with RCRA, EPA and DOT regulations.
*Training for RCRA and HAZWOPER will be provided.
*Strong aptitude/experience with computer systems /strong aptitude for computer work
