Production Supervisor - Craft Brewery 1st Shift

Are you experienced in food or beverage processing? Have you served in a lead role in production? A local food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a hard working individual to lead a small team in the production of beverage products that are renowned for quality and taste.

As the Production supervisor you will direct the daily activities of all 1st shift hourly, production employees in your division. You will oversee all phases of beverage and brewery production including processing, packaging, case packing and palletizing. As a leader you will continuously promote a work environment where safety and quality are the two most important objectives. The Production supervisor also evaluates and mentors team members to increase productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all production activities in accordance with plant policies and standards regarding safety, quality, productivity and cost

  • Provide continual leadership and guidance to a team of 6-8 employees

  • Foster strong working relationships that develop team members and increase efficiency

  • Cross train and provide training and development for team members

  • Monitor shift activities and adjust as needed, assist in production planning

  • Ensure plant production targets are achieved for safety, quality, delivery and cost

  • Direct and record sanitation acts according to GMP and SOP standards

  • Track, analyze and report production data, forecast long-term production expectations

  • Communicate status, needs, and progresses to business owners

  • Investigate production delays, problem-solve, take corrective action when necessary

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment (craft brewery experience a plus)

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of Lead or Supervisor level experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, experience with a CRM platform strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of OSHA, MOSH, FDA, TTB and food safety standards

  • Able to bend, stoop, kneel, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to collect and analyze standard production data

  • Ability to work under pressure and make timely, effective decisions
