Packaging Operators Needed. Temp- to - Hire!

Hours: 6pm - 6am

Schedule: Rotating; 2 days on, 2 days off, 3days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off…

Company Description:

This national company produces and ships nutritional products including infant formula.

Job Duties:

Controls and monitors the Depalletizer, Scoopdropper, and Inserter/ Overcapper. Maintains necessary documentation for each position assigned. Performs required quality checks as outlined in job specific Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. Performs Packaging Transport System Cleaning (excluding the Filler) as required.

Machine Operation - Efficiently operates within established parameters automated equipment;

Depalletizer, Scoopdropper, Inserter/Overcapper. Informs Packaging Supervisor of unusual situations but resolves minor problems without supervision. Consistently follows Good Manufacturing Practices while maintaining an efficient, clean, and neat work area. Identifies and recommends improvements to the process. Able to troubleshoot machines in item 1 for daily operation.

General Housekeeping: Performs daily sanitation in department without direct supervision. Maintains work area in accordance with GMP requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to stand for 12 hour intervals.

  • Must be able to lift 35lbs.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing in English.

  • Must be able to understand Work Instructions, Standard Operation Procedures, and training aids.

  • Ability to work in high temperature areas (100 degrees).

  • Must have reliable transportation as this position is not located along the bus route.
