Manpower Group 2nd and 3rd shift Production Supervisor in Hanover, Pennsylvania

Our client, a successful manufacturing facility in Hanover PA, has a direct hire exempt opportunity for a Production Supervisor on 2nd and 3rd shift (regular shift Sun-Thurs.: 10pm-6am; 2nd shift, Mon-Fri: 2pm-10pm; mandatory 12 hour shifts at times) The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, manage and evaluate the work of assemblers (40-50) to ensure customer and company expectations are met. This role must be able to work under minimal supervision and with remote leadership.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct, coach and develop Assemblers

  • Oversee the completion of orders and delivery schedules

  • Implement policies and procedures; recommends improvements in production

  • Execute light to moderate repairs on equipment of all types and sizes

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A.S. in Business or related field preferred

  • Knowledge of complex equipment repair methods and technologies

  • Five years of Supervisory experience in manufacturing (automotive a plus), including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

  • Team-oriented and motivator

  • Knowledge of MS applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers (all levels)

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems

  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)

  • Ability to travel up to 5% both domestically and internationally

  • Tolerance to: General shop and machine tool noise; dirt; grease; hydraulic fluid and coolants from the operation of machines and equipment; sitting, bending stretching, lifting, standing, or walking throughout the plant. The weight can range anywhere from 1 to 75 lbs. infrequently in which proper lifting/moving techniques are required for weight over 40 lbs.
