Manpower is partnered with a leading Electronics Assembler to hire an Associate Buyer to join their team.

This candidate works in a support capacity to the Purchasing Team, executes MRO and commodity procurement, provides Bid processing support, and interfaces with other internal departments as required to facilitate information exchange.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High School Diploma with min of 1-2 years in a Purchasing, Planning, or Supply Chain function, or a min of an Associate's degree in Business/Supply Chain Management.

  • Strong numerical and analytic reasoning capability.

  • Well-developed written and oral communications skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel / Word, ERP systems, and databases.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Sechan bid process. Launches new bids and rolls up material costs in preparation for pricing. Reviews and analyzes data for completeness and validity. Completes data-entry in Sechan Quoting System and follows up with suppliers for cost / lead-time / non-recurring engineering / minimum order quantity elements.

  • Completes Order Entry in Sechan computer system as required.

  • Interfaces with supply chain vendors to expedite purchase orders and reschedule items as required to ensure on-time delivery of product.

  • Supports buyers in attaining Return Material Authorizations from suppliers and processes return paperwork internally as needed.

  • Supports the Purchasing Manager and Director of Materials with reporting and metrics tracking.

  • Executes assigned commodity buys, and Maintenance Repair and Operating supplies (MRO) buys.

  • Supports Engineering Change activity related to purchasing and/or planning cost collection efforts as needed.

  • Supports departmental administrative needs.

  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.
