BOSTIK is hiring! We are currently looking for a Lab Technician for our Wauwatosa, WI location.
The Lab Technician will be primarily accountable for timely completion and delivery of top quality lab testing and reports.

Work under the guidance of a senior lab tech or (senior) chemist to coordinate and execute lab mixes, performance testing in support of adhesive development and internal adhesive trials
Follow set processes or work flow protocols
Support (senior) chemist with quality investigations
Maintain a basic understanding of raw material characteristics
Work with the Analytical Department or Pilot Plant, as needed
Calibrate laboratory equipment as required by ISO
Document laboratory results in the appropriate systems and databases
Comply 100% with EHS and Quality management system and 5S policies and requirements. Develop and maintain new test procedures
Follow all necessary safety protocol and complete all required annual laboratory training
Proficient in all laboratory tests as it relates to relevant applications
Create and modify files, tables, and graphs as needed in MS Office in order to effectively communicate results
Compile data in an organized manner and summarize results in a clear, concise report according to established format to meet internal expectations.
Capable of participating in project teams
Ensure laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, in working order, and in compliance with ISO standard
Context and Environment:
Key member of the Product Development team, responsible for supporting existing grades and the development of innovative products.
The role requires the ability to support multiple projects at once and quickly adapt to change
Primarily accountable for timely completion and delivery of top quality lab testing and reports
Ensure daily activities in compliance with EHS and operational requirements. Ensure timely calibration of lab equipment
Associates Degree in Chemical Technology or related scientific field or equivalent lab, pilot or manufacturing experience in the Adhesives industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity
Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously as well as analyze and interpret results
Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Project, JMP)
Strong team player
