The Senior Regulatory Specialist will advise on regulatory affairs & compliance requirements by serving as subject matter expert (SME) on chemical inventory regulatory compliance, with a focus on the product & technology portfolio managed within the Americas region.

Advise on regulatory affairs & compliance requirements by serving as subject matter expert (SME) on chemical inventory regulatory compliance, with a focus on the product & technology portfolio managed within the Americas region. This includes US TSCA, Canada DSL and NDSL, and other federal, state and local regulations impacting product registrations.
Reviewing/approving new and existing raw materials and finished good formulations for applicability and compliance in the Americas and other marketplaces.
Providing gap analysis and remediation pathway for non-compliance issues and marketplace restrictions.
Evaluate, and effectively communicate, the impact of new legislation or rulemaking.
Suggest cost-effective solutions to regulatory compliance issues while maintaining a favorable business environment.
Negotiate sensitive issues for products with governmental agencies or certification authorities while avoiding penalties or business interruption.
Contribute to activities and processes, as assigned, by
Supporting cross functional projects with R&D, Supply Chain and other functional areas (i.e. sustainability).
Provide guidance and training on regulations and product stewardship.
Leading and or contributing to continuous improvement by
Ensuring continuous expert regulatory affairs knowledge.
Conducting training for R&D, Business Teams and other functions as needed.
Authoring SOP's, policies and workflows with focus on streamlining overall product approval and compliance processes.
Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and Bostik specific EHS&S guidelines.

Context and Environment:
This role is established to provide senior level subject matter expertise to ensure regulatory compliance for the Americas product portfolio through thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and disciplined use of Bostik procedures.
The environment requires timely response from other departments, suitable databases and software and necessary skills; external training from trade associations and other regulatory organizations.
Effective communication to, and training of, senior management, business teams and other levels of the organization regarding regulatory requirements, with emphasis on the Americas region.
Assure continuous expert knowledge of global regulatory affairs, with a primary focus on the Americas product portfolio and related technologies.
Find workable solutions to complex issues, while maintaining compliance and delivering business needs.
Develop procedures, policies and workflows for review/approval that improve product development and commercialization processes (i.e. technology transfer).
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology or related field and minimum of 7-10 years working in regulatory affairs function. Strong polymer chemistry experience is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent regulations, chemical manufacturing industry, preparing assessments, and functioning on multi-discipline team(s).
Excellent verbal, written, analytical, research, persuasion, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels inside and outside of the organization.
Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate teams, as well as a high degree of initiative and standard for accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently manage time, workload, and projects.
Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of common software and ERP systems.
